Aluplex Limited warranty
Aluplex Skylights Ltd. warrants to the original purchaser, GC or owner of the property where the product is first installed as follows:
Material and Workmanship
Component Warranty
Frames (mill finish & brown) and Hardware 10 Years
Glass Seals 10 Years
Acrylic domes and PVC Frames 5 Years
Other components 1 Year
If a product is found to be defective, upon inspection and verification of any defect, Aluplex Skylights Ltd. will provide the replacement material for the defective components. If requested and required to verify a warranty claim, Aluplex Skylights Ltd. may visit the site, but only upon prepayment of the applicable service call charge in effect at the time.
Any claims under this warranty must be submitted in writing to Aluplex Skylights Ltd. promptly after discovery of the defect and within the applicable warranty period.
1- Year Leak Free Warranty
When installed by our trained professionals, Aluplex Skylights Ltd. warrants that it’s standard model Aluplex Skylights Ltd. acrylic domes and glass skylights will be leak-free for a period of one (1) year.
Exclusion and Limitations
This warranty will not apply if the product is not finished, installed, and operated in accordance with Aluplex Skylights Ltd. instructions. This warranty does not cover products damaged as a result of glass or plastic breakage, water penetration not resulting from a defect, abuse, misuse, faulty building construction or design, improper handling, installation in areas of high humidity or areas without adequate ventilation or humidity control, natural disasters, products subjected to conditions outside their design limitation, minor imperfections in glass that do not affect the product in performance or obscure vision, minor variations in glass or plastic colorations, damage caused by corrosive environmental factors such as acid, rain, and wood rot due to improper installation or maintenance. This warranty is void there is insufficient air circulation between the skylight and the room below, due to any installed blinds in the skylight shaft. The warranty on the glass is void if any there is any film applied to the glass surface. Flat glass unit skylights and self-flashing skylights are not suitable for flat or low-pitch roofs. The warranty is void if flat glass skylights or self -flashing skylights are installed on less than 3:12 roof pitch. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nor any problems arising from failure to properly maintain the product.
This warranty is NON-TRANSFERABLE and is only for the benefit of the original purchaser, GC or owner of the property where the product is installed.
Except as provided in the one (1) Year Leak Free Warranty, this warranty covers materials only and does not include labour, delivery, transportation or other costs.
This limited warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties expressed or implied. The provisions of this limited warranty shall constitute the entire liability of Aluplex Skylights Ltd. and the owner’s exclusive remedy for defects in the product. Aluplex Skylights Ltd. shall not be liable to the owner for incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
